Victims of Chernobyl should not be forgotten

We must remember the selfless heroism of the liquidators who fought the consequences of the accident, the suffering of more than 330,000 people who were resettled from the contaminated areas, the dangers and fears of millions of people living in the surrounding areas, and the laborious and costly measures that Have been undertaken for many years to protect the public from radiation and to mitigate the impact of the disaster on human health and the environment. These sacrifices should not be forgotten.
