International Educational Centre, Dortmund (Internationales Bildungs- und Begegnungswerk Dortmund)

From the very moment of its creation in 1986, The International Educational Centre, Dortmund (IBB Dortmund) sees the main goal of its activity in the strengthening of mutual understanding and reconciliation between the nations. The main task of the centre is to overcome of national, historical, social, cultural, religious and ideological borders and barriers by means of joint cross-cultural meetings and partnership cooperation.

The International Educational Centre, Dortmund conducts around 100 events and projects in the field of political education and cross-cultural meetings with the partners from the Eastern Europe, Baltic countries, Czech Republic, Holland, Italy, Turkey and other countries every year. The main leading idea of these events and projects is to comprehend the past in order to get the lessons of history and contribute to stable alternative power in Europe. In this connection, the work on the Europe-wide culture of memory, which includes acknowledgment of the Chernobyl catastrophe consequences for suffered people in Belarus, Russia and Ukraine, is one of the main topics of educational work of the centre.

German-Ukrainian partnership network (Deutsch-ukrainisches Netzwerk)

German-Ukrainian partnership network was founded on the 28th of December 2006 as social non-governmental organization The goal of the network is in the strengthening if German-Ukrainian partnership on the level of civil society and improving the conditions of life for vulnerable social groups I Ukraine.

Since 2007 the German-Ukrainian partnership network cooperates with the International Educational Centre, Dortmund. Along with numerous events for Belarusian, German and Ukrainian representatives of non-governmental organizations since 2009 together with the other organizations. The German-Ukrainian partnership network realizes projects on support for vulnerable social groups in Ukraine.

Kharkiv Municipal Public Organization “Chernobyl Union”

Municipal Union of liquidators “Chernobyl Union” is one of the first non-governmental organizations in Ukraine uniting the liquidators and other people suffered because of Chernobyl Nuclear power station catastrophe for protecting the interests of the chernobyls. The organization started its work in 1988.
